Everything around us is designed.  Therefore, industrial designers must concern themselves with the issue of emotional durability.  I want to go beyond just designing a chair. My goal is to design a dining chair that is durable in two senses; durable in terms of the objects relationship to the user, and structurally durable. I hope to achieve emotional durability by combining comfort, function, aesthetics, and environmentally responsible materials into the chair.

I’m interested in making something of value and quality using modern tools and methods of production, something that could theoretically be mass produced, but I’m instilling value in the object by increasing the life span of the chair through good craftsmanship and durability, as well as aesthetics, comfort, material quality, and material honesty.
